20 months Boy Update
My 20 months boy, wowww he is growing fast and time flies

This cheeky boy loves to copy his ge-ge so much, he copies everything his ge-ge does =)
ge-ge says A and he will say A, ge-ge says No and he will say No.
We do explain to his ge-ge that he needs to be a good example to his little brother as he loves to copy him so much =) but boys will always be boys, ge-ge kicks then di-di kicks

Eating has been a big issue now
It is not that he is choosy or fussy about foods but the problem is he has been
eating super duper slow in these few weeks *sigh*
It takes about one hour for him to finish up his food, he would not chew
the food let alone swallow it.
I need to find various ways to ‘persuade’ him to chew and then swallow,
and one of the ways I do ~ put his favorite toys in front of him and let him play with the toys, keep talking to him and he will slowly chew and swallow his food. Am struggling with this way though since I always tell his ge-ge not to play or holding any toys while eating *thinking*

He is learning to hold pens, pencils, color pencils and even chalk =)
Like any others kids he loves to ‘draw’. I would let him do it but of course not on the wall, we prepare drawing books and bought a black/whiteboard for the kids to draw.
‘Drawing’ is one of the ways for children to develop their fine motor so we let them
draw as much as they like =)
And oh ya this 20 mo little boys has been learning about colors and is able to recognize some of the colors like red, yellow, pink, black, blue, white but of course could not pronounce them correctly Yet he he he… he will go beik for black, elow for yellow =) etc

He was ‘reading’ Thomas and his Friends story book when I took this picture.
He loves all about vehicles that make him loves to ‘read’ books related with vehicles.
Few days ago when we visited Popular bookstore, I was so busy looking for teacher’s day gift and did not pay much attention on him until I found out from our helper that this little boy took a board-book from a bookshelf in toddlers section and wouldn’t let go when asked to
of course he wouldn’t let go because the board-book is about vehicles =)

When I found out about this I immediately bought the book for him, hopefully by buying him books related to things he likes he will slowly but surely grows to love reading.
By the way, he is now able to name different kinds of vehicles, like bus, truck, taxi, cars, lorry =)
I found this method worked for my eldest son, we started buying him books with cartoon characters that he liked, he slowly grow to love reading not only books with his favorite characters but any books for young readers for his age.
